On January 1980 two gallant women of God Sr.Chantal Gester OSB and Sr.Irmtred Wagner OSB, set foot on our soil to share their love for christ and humanity.

For four months they stayed in Floral Hostels before moving to the staff Quarters of the Missionary Benedictine father later on the year. 

Thi made it easier to supervise the construction work of our convent and kindergarten which started in the year 1980, 1st of March. There after it was completed and blessed by his Eminence Maurice Michael Cardinal Otunga on 10th February 1981. Three other sisters joined them: Sr.Magda Eberhand, a kindergarten teacher, who arrived on 27th June 1980, Sr.Fidelis Jardiel, OSB,and accomplished Musician and pianist, who arrived on 21st October 1980. 

Not forgetting Sr.Ramira UY OSB a medical doctor who arrived on January 1981. This then completed the founding team. They all embarked on social and pastoral apostolatess among the poor people living in the slums of Mathare. 

From then, St.Scholastica Catholic school has experienced tremendous growth all round.
