The gift of mentorship

The gift of mentorship
I count it a blessing the opportunity to mentor young ones, encourage them that it is possible.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
These verses are a clarion call to mentor others- because we are all products of mentorship. We owe our current success and station in life to other people who took time and effort to guide and correct us.
What a blessed day it was to preside over the prize-giving day at St Scholastica Catholic School in Ruaraka.
The sheer energy and organization of the school is breath-taking.
I saw beauty. I saw energy. I saw promise. And I saw the results of hardwork. I saw God in the works of St Benedictine Missionary sisters.
